NextGen Economics is not a firm with a masthead. It's one researcher, writing in the open, with every word signed and every claim traceable to a named source.
Pawan Bhatia founded NextGen Economics and has spent close to two decades in institutional economic research. He is the author of the $1Q Thesis — a framework setting out sixteen converging forces behind a projected quadrillion-dollar global economy by 2040 — and writes every white paper, investment letter and Compass report published under the NGE name personally.
He publishes as an open-source innovator: the ideas, frameworks and original metrics introduced across NGE's research (the Housing System Resilience Score, the External Sustainability Score, and others) are released freely, with no patents and no equity stake attached. He is based in Bengaluru, India.
Beyond NGE's economic research, Pawan has written across more than twenty books spanning macroeconomics, AI and human futures, satire, and fiction — published independently on Amazon Kindle and Apple Books under his own name.
There is no editorial board, no junior analyst pool, and no PR layer between the research and the page. Every letter, white paper and Compass issue is researched, written, fact-checked against named public sources, and published by one person. When you write in, Pawan reads it — not a support queue.
Rather than curated testimonials, NGE logs its own specific, dated predictions in the open — before anyone knows whether they're right — on the Track Record page, reviewed on schedule rather than only when it's convenient.
